Cutting edge is 1.25" wide.  Adzes are flat on the front edge of the blade. Adzes are made with either 1/8" saw blades or 1095 tool steel and are hardened to Rockwell C 58. There is a hole towards the heel of the adze if you would like to attach it to a handle that way.
