Cutting edge is 3" wide.  Adzes are flat on the bottom and have a radius on the front edge of the blade. Adzes are made with 1095 tool steel and are hardened to Rockwell C 58. There is a hole towards the heel of the adze that will fit a #10 screw if you would like to attach it to a handle that way.
